Bright Fire Energy started in 2018 in Whitecourt, Alberta with a simple idea: Albertans deserve an energy provider that's transparent, locally rooted, and gives back to the communities it serves.
We saw an energy market full of confusing contracts, hidden fees, and faceless corporations headquartered outside the province. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built Bright Fire — an energy retailer that offers straightforward fixed and variable plans with no cancellation fees on electricity, no deposits on approved credit, and a commitment to donating 10% of our profits to local community initiatives. (Fixed natural gas contracts carry a $250 early exit fee; all other plans have no exit fee.)
